BExA Member Helpline for International Trade

BExA offers a dedicated helpline for members that are seeking specialist advice on international trade matters.  The support service, which is free of charge to BExA members, can be accessed via email with queries being acknowledged and responded to within 48 hours.

The advice available through the helpline will meet the requirements of SME and large organisations and covers a wide range of topics as detailed below.

Export Documentation 

 Questions on export documents including:

  • Certificate of Origin – all types
  • EUR1 Forms and invoice declarations
  • ATR Forms (including pre-authenticated forms)
  • Invoices (proforma / commercial / legalised / shipping)
  • Packing list
  • Transport documents, including bills of lading
  • Customs export declarations (NES/C88/EAD)
  • Evidence of export and the new Export Control System (ECS) with the new document EAD requirements
  • ATA Carnets – issuing, using and alternative procedures (including overseas temporary import procedures and bonds, eg USA TIBs)
  • Supply chain security

Export Control Regulations

 Advice can be provided on:

  • Is an export licence required?
  • Military and dual-use list goods
  • End-user undertakings and International Import Certificates
  • How to use the SPIRE system
  • Using UK Open General Export Licences
  • Applying for Standard Individual Export Licences (SIELs)
  • Paperwork required for Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU) audits

Questions can also be fielded on the USA Export and Re-export regulations (the Export Administration Regulations [EAR] and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations [ITAR]).
